FERROVIENORD S.p.A. is investing in the innovation of its own stations in order to make them more accessible for everyone: people with reduced mobility and enthusiasts cyclists.

In 2014 the available budget to improve the station's accessibility is that of 17 million euros. The plans include:

• the elimination of entry steps thanks to bricklaying works or slides;
• the replacement of narrow doors, or too difficult to open, with more accessible ones; the purchase and installation of 52 new lifts so to allow bicycle transport, in view of integrated and sustainable transportation, as well as facilitating people with reduced mobility's access to reach platforms;

• platform elevation for an easier access for wheelchairs to the train; there are two positive effects: the passenger's faster access to the train - with the consequent reduction of the stops' duration - and the discouragement of the dangerous habit of crossing tracks.
